What is Silhouette InstaLift®?
Silhouette InstaLift®, also known as Thread Lift, is dual-action cosmetic rejuvenation device that works to restore skin to a youthful appearance by lifting sagging and aging skin in the mid-face area and restores volume through new collagen production. The FDA-approved, nonsurgical method uses micro-suspension technology, MST, to lift the skin while simultaneously stimulating the production of collagen to increase volume. Sutures are threaded underneath the skin to lift and support it, resulting in tighter looking skin.
What to expect:
The treatment session typically lasts 45 minutes and begins with Dr. Munk mapping out where the sutures will be placed on the cheek and jawline area. After injecting local anesthetic to numb the area, Dr. Munk will proceed to thread the sutures under your skin, pulling them to lift the skin. Once the sutures are placed, Dr. Munk will gently massage the area to ensure everything is properly embedded and assess any irregularities. Patients should experience little to no discomfort and the body’s collagen production response will continue post procedure.
The Results:
Silhouette InstaLift® delivers an immediate lift and improves facial volume by triggering your own natural collagen production in the mid-face area. The skin will continuously improve over time and can last up to 2 years.
Is it safe:
Silhouette InstaLift® is an FDA certified device for cosmetic rejuvenation and uses a polymer that is well-known to be used in medical devices and well tolerated by the body. Post treatment side effects can include: minor pain, swelling and bruising. Being a technique sensitive procedure, Dr. Munk will assess your medical history, skin type, age and facial structure beforehand to ensure a patient is the right candidate.
