Everyone wants to look like the most beautiful version of themselves on their wedding day, but how do you achieve this? Don’t worry, MunkMD has created a wedding beauty plan to help you prepare in the months leading up to your big day!
12 Months Before
Schedule a visit to a Dermatologist. Before you head to Sephora to pick out the perfect makeup, you’ll want to make sure your skin is in the best shape it could possibly be. If you have major skin issues such as acne or pigmentation, you’ll need to go to a dermatologist and get your skin taken care of in advance, because a new regimen takes time to work.
9 Months Before
Rejuvenate your face. If you want to hide your crow’s feet and baggy eyes for the pictures, then Botox and fillers are a great way to give you a mini face-lift. Botox will smooth your expressions lines and fillers will give you luscious lips for your very first kiss after you say “I do!”
Start body-sculpting treatments. Do you have a little extra fat that you would like to get rid of before your dress fittings? Then Coolsculpting is the option for you. It’s a non-invasive treatment that uses cold temperatures to destroy fat cells without any downtime. It’s not a weight loss solution, but overtime, this treatment will contour your body to give you a more fit physique. To maintain your health and your CoolSculpting results you should do regular physical activity.
6 Months Before
Luscious locks. Is your hair thinning? If you’re looking to have a full head of hair for your wedding day, then PRP can help! PRP therapy is used in hair restoration for natural looking results. With a thin needle, your own Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is injected into the scalp. Then the growth factors in your blood cells do their job and hair growth is naturally stimulated. You will need approximately 3 treatments at 1-month intervals to see desired results but even after just one treatment you will be very happy.
3-4 Months Before
Smooth skin booster. Now is the time to book your treatments to smooth out large pores and get rid of those nasty sun spots. Everyone is different and these treatments are tailored to your skin. Book a consultation with your Dermatologist to find out which treatment is best for you.
Test run your hair and makeup. You should schedule a hair and makeup trial to perfect your look for the wedding day. Take some photos after you’re done and see how you look in different lighting to ensure your makeup doesn’t look too harsh or too subtle.
A Week Before
Schedule chemical peels. This treatment removes dead skin for a smoother and more refined complexion that will make your skin glow. Chemical peels can treat acne, reduce wrinkles, and eliminate brown spots to give your skin an even complexion. Don’t forget your décolleté! Chemical peels are a great example of a treatment that can go beyond the face.
Plan hair removal. If you want peach-fuzz free skin, getting a wax 72 hours before the wedding day will ensure your skin is smooth and irritated free. Get chocolate and sugar waxes if you have a low tolerance to pain.
Get a mani-pedi. With the wedding band exchange and open-toed heels, your hands and feet need to look picture perfect. To ensure no chipping, schedule a manicure and pedicure a few days before the wedding. Plus, if you get a gel polish it will last throughout the honeymoon!
